The New York Times reports today that New York Governor, Eliot Spitzer (D) had a small pow-wow this morning with top aides to let them in on a little secret. The secret?

That, yes, he was involved in a prostitution ring and that no, it doesn't appear as tho he would get away with it what with all the press and media that surrounds such a job as say, Governor of a mid-atlantic state. Spitzer was caught by a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel.

Spitzer (god that name works on so many levels now) served as Attorney General for eight years before being elected Governor. Spitzer built his reputation on rooting out corruption, busting white-collar crime and organized crime.

He was also known for being a tough dealing, anti-prostitution proponent having said after a much publicized prostitution bust, "This was a sophisticated and lucrative operation with a multi-tiered management structure, it was, however, nothing more than a prostitution ring.”

Apparently Spitzer was not satisfied with the level of service he received. Republicans , start your engines!
