Here's the thing...

We received a press release this morning about the annual IVD (Independent Video Distributors) and ECN (East Coast News) warehouse show that was held October 3rd thru the 5th. They host this show to introduce buyers from various companies to the lines they each represent to help business grow blah, blah, blah. That's all well and good and cute and all until you read the press release. It states:

"So many people came up to me at the Gala Dinner and said they had a great time this year," said IVD founder Frankie Kay. "That’s a true testament to the hard work of our sales and support staff. We put on an awesome show this year, and introduced new titles and lines to store owners..."

Hold up their champ, I didn't see any invite in my inbox for this event. No letter asking POPPORN.com to attend and make the event that much more interesting and thus, your event definitely was not awesome. In case you don't know, IVD and ECN are run out of Hightstown New Jersey of all places and we are located where? Hello! Philadelphia. Check a map!

Look, the POPPORN.com editorial department is very, very upset. The fact of the matter is that you had a huge warehouse party in central Jerz with free booze and we were NOT invited.

What the fuck, IVD and ECN? We could have brought Meatball and BUCKTON to attend your little “adult DVD and Novelty distributors” show? They could have:

1) Molested at least two potential buyers as they waited in line for essica drake’s autograph
2) “Sampled” at least 12 toys (and thrown them back into the mix, sans cleaning)
3) “Performed” live on stage with two “willing” amateurs

It could have been great. Frankie Kay, IVD owner, YOU LOST. Totally. We will now insist on an industry wide boycott of all things IVD and ECN. It's on fucko's.
