If you're one of those folks who thinks that the idea of two men kissing each other or having sex with each other or marrying each other or killing Talibans with each other and stuff like that is gross...well, you're probably not going to want to read the rest of this article. If that's too much for you, move on. If not, did you hear about the hubbub that director Richard Wolstencroft is getting over the gay porn/horror movie, L.A. Zombie? It's nuts!

From what the god damned liberal media is telling me, the authorities raided the directors home after he broke the law by screening director Bruce LaBruce's new tale of bloodfuckery in his living room. The film had been banned by the Australian Council of Entertainment (or maybe the Australian Classification Board, I forget) after they screened it and deemed it nothing more than mere "gay zombie porn". It had been scheduled to appear at the Melbourne International Film Festival this past July but was canceled after the board's decision. Wolstencroft, of course, decided that he was going to go forward with his stance that the board's decision was total bullshit, and he went ahead and screened it at his house.

So the cops raided his ass. I guess Australian law specifies that banned films such as L.A. Zombie may bot be sold or distributed (and apparently screening it at one's home counts as distribution). Authorities reportedly found themselves empty handed after the raid, as Wolstencroft had already destroyed the copy of the film after the screening had completed.

"Obviously we are really surprised that this has happened. We are talking to lawyers and we will prepare a defense... We have exhibited lesbian films, gay films, controversial political films. (L.A. Zombie) is people acting. Bruce LaBruce is a well regarded international filmmaker... I'm not sure what the problem is here," Wolstencroft told POPPORN (not directly, of course).

Now...I'll be honest. It sure kind of sounds like he was breaking the law here. I mean, it's pretty cut-and-dry, right? And the fact that he destroyed the movie after screening it only adds credence to that claim. But that said, it also sounds entirely fucking ridiculous that this screening should be illegal. So I guess I'm advocating full-scale war against the Aussie classification board. It's the only solution I can think of. Maybe a political coup isn't entirely out of the question, either?
